Chinese police near Vietnam's northern border are hunting for a Chinese man suspected of killing three Vietnamese women and injuring two others in a stabbing spree, Xinhua reported.
The attack occurred in China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region at around 8pm on Tuesday (July 22) in a rented apartment on Zhongshan Road in Fangcheng District, Fangchenggang City, according to local police sources.
The perpetrator allegedly stabbed five Vietnamese women, two of whom died on the spot and one of whom died in a hospital.
Two others survived their injuries.
Chinese police described the suspected murderer as being in his mid-thirties and around 1.65m in height.
They did not reveal further details about his motive for the assault.
