A young couple in the Central Highlands fainted when they saw the bodies of all their three daughters, who drowned in a pond near their home on Wednesday.
When the parents, who live in Dak Lak Province, came home from work in the afternoon, they could not find their children, who were 5, 8 and 10 years old.
Neighbors helped them search for the girls. They spotted their slippers by the water, and later found and salvaged their bodies from the pond.
It’s not clear how the children ended up in the pond.
Locals said the family is poor. The authorities have granted the parent VND35 million for the funerals.
