Three siblings on a motorbike died after a truck crashed into it on a road in the southern province of Dong Nai on Wednesday.
At around 1:15 p.m. the truck driven by Nguyen Van Toan, 25, was traveling on the road when it had a tire blowout.
The truck veered into the left side of the road and hit the motorbike driven by Nguyen Thanh Cong, 42, with his sisters Nguyen Thi Thoa, 50, and Nguyen Thi Thom, 48, on the back seat.
The motorbike was thrown underneath the truck.
Cong, Thoa and Thom died on the spot.
The truck then flipped onto its side and plunged down a roadside ditch.
Toan was injured and stuck in the cabin. Nearby residents broke the window to pull him out and rushed him to hospital.
Police said Cong, a military officer, was driving Thoa to a hospital for her kidney treatment when the crash happened.
They are still investigating the crash.
