Police in the southern province of Binh Duong are investigating the deaths of three people from drinking rice wine at a Lunar New Year party last week.
A fourth, Ngo Hoang Anh, 32, was discharged from hospital Sunday after six days' treatment.
Anh said he was still tired and in shock after hearing that three people had died following at the party in Binh Duong's Tan Uyen District.
On January 23, Lunar New Year's Day, Anh visited the house of his mother-in-law and joined the party at the invitation of Le Anh Tuan, 31, his brother-in-law, and two other relatives.
They drank around a liter of rice wine, and Tuan and the two others developed headache, dizziness, and vomiting.
They died in hospital the following day.
Anh apparently escaped because he drank less than the others.
Doctors said the three men died of toxins in the alcohol.
The police are trying to trace the origin of the drink.
