The Hoi An police have arrested three Bulgarians for allegedly forging credit cards and installing cameras at ATMs to steal money by capturing card numbers and passwords.
The men, aged 19, 29 and 39, said they came as tourists before another Bulgarian known only as Ivan asked them to help commit the crimes two months ago.
He asked them to install cameras in ATMs around town and provide him the information to fake the cards.
They said they stole US$90,000 with the fake cards.
The police have found equipment for making the fake cards at the trio’s lodgings.
But Ivan is still at large.
