More than 1.5 tons of pork and pig entrails without documents of origin were found
on a minibus arriving in
Ho Chi Minh City
from central Vietnam.
Dang Thi Tuyet, head of the Thu Duc District quarantine agency, said among the consignment found in the vehicle driven by Truong Hung Lam were eight cartons of meat carrying the stamp of the Quang Ngai Province animal health agency.
"But the stamps looked strange and suspicious," she said.
Her agency fined the driver and destroyed the goods in accordance with regulations.
Further investigations are continuing.
