2 Vietnamese women arrested for robbing British tourist

Police in Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday arrested two women for snatching a bag from a British tourist and slightly injuring her in the city downtown.
At around 2 a.m. a team of officers from District 1 was patrolling around the downtown area when they spotted the two women on a motorbike, news website VnExpress reported.
The officers secretly followed the pair.
When they were on Le Lai Street, they slowed down upon seeing a foreign tourist walking on the sidewalk.
They approached the female tourist and the woman on the back suddenly grabbed her bag.

The tourist screamed and tried to hold the bag. She was dragged along the street.
As the police officers rushed to the scene, the snatchers let go of the bag and sped up to flee.
A fierce chase began. The snatchers drove very fast through many streets, but they were finally apprehended.
They were identified as Tran Thi Ngoc Thanh, 32, and Dang Thi Thu Hien, 25, who had just been released from a drug rehab center around one month ago.
The British tourist, whose name has not been revealed, has several scratches on her back.
