Two Vietnamese have been banned from flying for six months for violating Vietnam's aviation safety regulations.
A Tuesday report by Tuoi Tre said the Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority issued the ban last month, which prohibits Tran Thi My Anh, 40, from Ho Chi Minh City, and Hoang Van Tan, 38, from Hanoi, from traveling on any domestic or international airlines during the period.
Anh had argued with staff members of the private budget airline VietJetAir and threatened to explode the plane after her May 6 flight from HCMC to Hanoi was delayed several times.
She was also fined VND2 million (US$96).
The other passenger, Tan, was carrying a gun in his luggage on a flight with Dragon Air from Hong Kong to Hanoi which was only discovered when he arrived in Vietnam.
