Two Russian tourists will be expelled from Vietnam after causing damage to a resort in the central province of Binh Thuan.
Binh Thuan police said on Tuesday that they are completing procedures to send Limar Aleksan Dek, 33, and Titov Konstantin, 24, back to their home country.
They said the tourists got drunk and damaged property at the Sea Lion II Resort in Tien Thanh Commune, Phan Thiet Town, early the morning of September 1.
When the commune police arrived, the foreigners tried to resist them, refusing to follow them to the local police station. The police's Rapid Response Unit (113) then stepped in and took them by force.
The Russians later agreed to pay over VND10 million (US$473) in compensation to the resort.
A report on the province's news website said police planed to fine them an additional VND4 million ($189).
