2 dead in central Vietnam home invasion

A man and his daughter were stabbed to death, while his wife and his mother were injured during an apparent burglary early Wednesday morning in the central highlands province of Gia Lai.
It was reported that a suspect was caught on surveillance cameras.
Neighbors of Nguyen Van Cuong said they heard cries for help from the house of the retired worker of a local military company after midnight.
When they rushed there, they found the 56-year-old man and his family lying in blood with many stabs all over their bodies.
The victims were rushed to a hospital, but Cuong and his 18-year-old daughter Nguyen Thi Thuy succumbed, while his wife, 53-year-old Phan Thi Mao was placed under intensive care.

His mother, 90-year-old Luu Thi Ho, was slightly injured.
Police said it was apparently a burglary, and that there were signs of resistance at the site.
Investigation is going on.
