Two died and nine were injured after a bus carrying workers of a company crashed into a tanker truck in Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday.
The bus was carrying around 50 workers of Pouyuen Vietnam Company Ltd. back from work in the afternoon when it hit the back of the truck, which was parked near Tan Tao Tunnel in Binh Tan District.
The bus’s head was badly damaged. Some workers in the front seats were stuck and screamed for help.
Nearby residents broke the bus’ doors to bring the workers out.
Eleven workers were hospitalized, two of whom succumbed to serious injuries at Cho Ray Hospital. One of the two dead workers was a 36-year-old woman.
It is not known if the bus driver was among the injured victims.
Local authorities are investigating the crash.
