Vietnamese authorities have fined two companies a total of VND135 million (US$6,300) for employing Chinese workers without a working permit in their projects in Gia Lai Province.
The government of this Central Highlands province said it fined the Construction No.1 Ltd. of Guangxi Construction Engineering Group, a Chinese company, VND60 million (US$2,800) for illegally employing 20 Chinese workers at a thermal power project.
Meanwhile, the Vietnamese company Ba Dinh Construction Consultation JSC was fined VND75 million ($3,500) for employing illegal Chinese workers at a mine.
