Rescuers have retrieved the bodies of two people killed in a coal mine collapse Tuesday night in northern Vietnam.
The bodies of Vu Dinh Thanh, 42, a deputy manager, and Bui Ngoc Toan, 45, a senior worker at the Vang Danh mine in Quang Ninh Province, were discovered at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday around two kilometers from the entrance.
The accident occurred at around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday when parts of the pit near a well suddenly collapsed.
Two other workers working near the exit managed to escape.
Quang Ninh authorities are investigating.
