A seven-seater car crashed into a busy motorcycle repair shop in Ho Chi Minh City on Friday, killing one and injuring two others.
The car reportedly ran at high speed straight into the shop in Hoc Mon District, bringing down the front door and wall and hitting two repairmen and three customers.
A 16-year-old repairman died instantly. Two other victims were rushed to hospital with severe injuries.
Repairman Phan Tan Loi, 39, who narrowly escaped death, said everything happened so fast.
“When we realized what's happening, there was just no time to run,” he said.
The car driver, whose name has not been confirmed, immediately fled the scene after the crash, leaving behind the badly damaged car.
Police are looking into the case.
