1 dead in highway crash allegedly due to wrong-way driving

A man died after his car, which allegedly drove on the wrong side, crashed into another car on a highway in the northern city of Hai Phong on Monday.
At around 4:30 a.m. Le Ninh, 39, drove the four-seater car and crashed head-on with the seven-seater sedan driven by Hoang Quoc Tuan, 47, on Hai Phong-Hanoi Highway.
Locals said they heard a loud bang and saw the two cars badly damaged after the crash.
Ninh was stuck in his car. He was found dead after being pulled out.
Tuan and his wife Pham Thi Thuy sustained minor injuries.
District police said Ninh drove on the wrong side, leading to the crash.
Further investigations are ongoing.
