A transnational crime prevention center was opened by the Vietnamese and Australian governments in Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday.

The center, known as JTCC, will focus on transnational crimes such as terrorism, drugs and weapon smuggling, money laundering, human trafficking, and economic and computer crimes.

It will build and manage a database system on crimes and coordinate with border-guards, maritime police and customs to prevent illegal transnational activities.
