The government should issue systems of assessing the health of Agent Orange victims as well as directions on implementing policies for them, the Vietnam Association of Veterans told Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Tuesday.
At a meeting that day the association also proposed that the government allows the establishment of a hospital specifically for war veterans, a report on the government's website said.
Dung appreciated the association for closely cooperating with the government and contributing to the country's social and economic achievements over the past year, the report said.
The association currently has over 2.6 million veterans and over one million ex-soldiers as its members.
