Vietnam marks 66th anniversary of National Day

Top party and government leaders Thursday paid tributes at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi on the occasion of the National Day (September 2), Vietnam News Agency reported.

They were led by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Truong Tan Sang and National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung.

The delegation also paid tributes at the Monument of Heroic Martyrs later.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung hosted a gathering of ambassadors and representatives of international organizations in Hanoi to celebrate the 66th anniversary of the National Day, VNA said.
