A US survey vessel arrived at a central Vietnam port Friday as part of ongoing marine research cooperation between the two countries.
The Roger Revelle, 80 meters long and 16 meters wide, will dock at the Tien Sa Port in Da Nang until June 29 for a oceanographic research program over Vietnam's East Sea, news website VietNamNet cited the Da Nang administration as saying.
The 28 crew members, including experts sent from the US Office of Naval Research, will provide training to Vietnam's naval researchers.
Roger Revelle is operated by the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California.
