The USS Chung-Hoon (DDG-93), a guided-missile destroyer, and the USNS Salvor (T-ARS-52), a salvage ship, belonging to the United States Navy will arrive in Da Nang City's Tien Sa Port for a five-day stay on April 21.

News website VTC News quoted the US Embassy to Vietnam as saying on Monday that the US Seventh Fleet will meet with Navy Zone No. 3 of the Vietnam People's Navy during that period.

They will exchange knowledge on health issues, humanitarian assistance, natural disaster relief, navigation and maintenance. Friendly sport matches and a musical performance by the Seventh Fleet's Orient Express band, as well as underwater search and rescue trainings will be held.

The USS Chung-Hoon, together with another destroyer, the USS Preble (DDG-88), and the USNS Safeguard (T-ARS-50) salvage ship, anchored in Da Nang City in July 2011 in a visit which marked the 16th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the US and Vietnam.
