His Royal Highness, the Prince Consort of Denmark Henrik, will be in Vietnam from January 30 to February 5, 2013, according to a press brief from the Embassy of Denmark in Hanoi.
The son of French Count André de Laborde de Monpezat, Henrik has a unique relationship to Vietnam where he spent his early childhood and later studied and graduated from the French secondary school in Hanoi, before traveling to France where he studied law and political science at the Sorbonne, Paris, and Chinese and Vietnamese at the Ã‰cole Nationale des Langues Orientales.
The Prince Consort, husband of the Queen of Denmark, Margrethe II, will recall his many beautiful memories about Vietnam and the Vietnamese people by visiting Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City.
Henrik, 79, will meet his old schoolmates, take a tour to historical sites and visit his former residence and will also visit successful Danish-Vietnamese companies which are frontrunners in implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and advanced green technology into their daily business in Vietnam.
Besides French as his native language, the Prince Consort, whose full name is Henri Marie Jean André de Laborde de Monpezat, speaks fluent English, Danish, Chinese, and Vietnamese.
