The Russian Navy destroyer Admiral Panteleyev on Friday arrived in Tien Sa Port of Da Nang City on a three-day visit.
The Udaloy-class destroyer was accompanied by tugboat SB-522 and oil tanker Penchega.
After a welcome ceremony at Tien Sa Port, the Admiral Panteleyev crew paid courtesy visits to Da Nang’s city hall and the Vietnam Navy's 3rd Regional Command stationed in Da Nang’s Son Tra District.
Part of the Russian Pacific Ocean Fleet, Admiral Panteleyev was deployed in 2009 as part of operations to combat piracy off the Somalian coast.
The total crew of the flotilla visiting Vietnam is 482 officers and sailors.
