The Inspection Commission of the Party Central Committee last week reprimanded three party officials in the northern province of Ninh Binh for violating party discipline.
According to the commission, the Ninh Binh Party Standing Committee had violated rules on practicing democracy and issued documents that violated both party regulations and the country's laws.
The violations had caused "serious consequences", resulting in the loss of state property and public confidence, the commission said.
Secretary of provincial committee, Dinh Van Hung, and two deputy secretaries, Ta Nhat Thoi and Bui Van Thang, received reprimands and warnings from the inspectors individually. Hung was also relieved of his position.
At the end of its meeting in Hanoi last Friday, the Inspection Commission reached conclusions on nearly 30 cases that it had investigated.
The commission also issued warnings to several other party officials including senior police officers.
