Four Indian front-line battleships on deployment in the East Sea and western Pacific will make a port call to Vietnam next month.
Malaysian newspaper The Star reported that INS Satpura, INS Ranvijay, INS Kirch, and INS Shakti with more than 800 crew members are currently docking at Port Klang, Malaysia.
The five-day visit to Malaysia, starting May 25, by the fleet led by Rear Admiral Ajit Kumar includes several programs with the Royal Malaysian Navy.
The two sides will carry out a passage exercise and practice both conventional wartime drills and cooperative military action against unconventional threats at sea.
The vessels would head to Vietnam next and then to the Philippines, the newspaper reported.
