Dutch PM visits Vietnam to boost ties

Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands, visited two famous spots of Hanoi – Hoan Kiem (Sword) Lake and Ngoc Son (Jade Mountain) Temple – as soon as he arrived in Vietnam Monday for an official visit, Tuoi Tre reported.
The two-day visit, made at the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, aims to further strengthen diplomatic and economic relations between the Netherlands and Vietnam.
Rutte is scheduled to meet with PM Dung for a discussion, expected to focus on the areas that the Netherlands is good at, including climate change and water management, agriculture, marine-based economy, oil and gas, energy, and logistics.
An agriculture and food security partnership agreement is expected to be signed during the visit.
Both sides will also look to realize a strategic partnership agreement on climate change adaptation and water management.
Dutch companies will also meet with Vietnamese partners to discuss scope of cooperation and sign business deals.
