Australian Navy vessel to make Da Nang port call

A fleet replenishment vessel belonging to the Australian Navy will arrive in the central city of Da Nang Friday for a two-day visit, the city's information department has announced.
During their stay, 62 officers and sailors on board the HMAS Sirius will make courtesy calls on city authorities and the Vietnam Navy’s 3rd Regional Command, which is headquartered in Da Nang.
The crew is also scheduled to take part in volleyball matches with Vietnamese officers and soldiers and visit famous tourist destinations in Da Nang and nearby Quang Nam Province.
Australian and Vietnamese officers will exchange experiences in replenishment and intercepting alien vessels, and take part in a joint exercise at sea.
The details of the exercise are not known.
