The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, Quentin Bryce, will visit Vietnam from May 8 to May 14 to further strengthen the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
According to a press realess from the Australian Embassy in Hanoi, during the visit to Vietnam, the Governor-General will meet with Vietnamese leaders in Hanoi and provincial leaders in Da Nang, Hue, Ho Chi Minh City and Ba Ria Vung Tau.
She will also open the World Conference on Drowning Prevention in Da Nang. She will also address HIV/AIDS, helmet safety, nursing and preventable blindness.
Quentin Bryce is the first woman ever to be a Governor-General of Australia, and became the 25th person to hold the position when she was sworn in on September 5, 2008.
