S. Korean PM pledges support for Vietnam development
Korean Prime Minister Lee Hae-chan.
South Korea will provide support for Vietnam’s efforts to develop its economy and integrate into the regional and international economies, said the Korean prime minister April 15.

South Korea attaches great importance to bilateral relations with Vietnam and will expand the close ties in every area, Korean Prime Minister Lee Hae-chan said at a meeting with Vietnamese Ambassador to South Korea Pham Tien Van.

Mr. Lee told Ambassador Van that he was delighted to see the continual development of the Vietnam-South Korea relationship, more Korean businesses investing into Vietnam and the growing trade relations between the two countries.

He highlighted South Korea’s strength in Information Technology and his desire to expand cooperation with Vietnam in this field.

The PM was also grateful to the Vietnamese people for their support for peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula and reconciliation between the Koreans.

PM Lee and his wife are scheduled to visit Vietnam from April 19 to 21.
