A still from the ballet La Ventana with the performance of dancers Diana Cuni and Louise Ostergaard of the Royal Danish Ballet troupe
A night of romantic ballet choreographed by Frank Andersen of Denmark and Sasha Evtimova of Macedonia will begin 8 p.m. on November 1 at the Hanoi Opera House.
The show, including two parts, features both Danish and Macedonian classic ballets to be performed by artists of the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theater.
The first part will feature Denmark’s “La Ventana” and “Flower Festival in Genzano.” The former will show “how Danish music and classical dance can be harmonized to yield a graceful and charming unity;” and the latter is one of 19th century Danish ballet master cum choreographer August Bournonville’s most attractive and accomplished compositions.
The second part, featuring Macedonian contemporary ballet “Secret Garden”, is combined with digital animation. Choreographed and staged by Sasha Evimova, the ballet made it debut last year with the performance of world-renowned ballet dancer Nina Ananiashvili.
Tickets, from VND200,000 to 500,000, can be bought at the Hanoi Opera House – 1 Trang Tien Street, Hoan Kiem District or booked at firstname.lastname@example.org.
