Renowned Belgian jazzmen Tricylce are playing Vietnam's two major opera houses in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi on March 18 and 19, respectively.
The concerts, organized by the Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sport, and Tourism and the Belgian Embassy in Vietnam, mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relation between the two countries.
In Hanoi, the three-member band will have one more performance on March 20 to raise charity for the Nguyen Dinh Chieu school, where most students are blind.
All songs to be performed in Vietnam were composed by the band.
Tricycle first performed as an opening act for circus performances. They become an internationally respected jazz trio only a short time later.
The skill and charisma of the band’s accordionist Tuur Florizoone has made him one of most Belgium’s favorite musicians.
Together with Vincent Noiret on bass and Phillipe Laroy playing flute and saxophone, Tricycle’s global fame continues to grow.
The performances will begin at 8:00 pm at the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House and the Hanoi Opera House.
