Vietnam is set to open five more centers to monitor the development of influenza in the country, the Central Institute of Sanitation and Epidemic announced Thursday.
The five new flu-monitoring centers will be opened in provinces of Thai Binh, Lang Son, Hoa Binh, Nha Trang, and a southeastern province to be named, an institute official said.
With the five newly opened centers, there will be 15 flu-monitoring centers in Vietnam helping experts meticulously study the alteration of influenza virus, particularly the HN51 strain of bird flu virus.
