A woman from the central Quang Ngai Province gave birth to a baby boy on a Ho Chi Minh City-Hanoi train Monday morning, Tuoi Tre newspaper reported.
Cao Thi Lieu, 29, was on the Thong Nhat SE2 train heading to her hometown when her water broke. Luckily, a group of doctors from an HCMC-based hospital were onboard, and helped Lieu when she went into labor.
The doctors, who were on a business trip, delivered a 3.1 kilogram healthy baby boy.
The mother and her newborn were rushed to a hospital after the train made an emergency stop at Bong Son station in central Binh Dinh Province.
Both mother and baby are reportedly in stable condition.
