Vietnamese woman has six-teeth denture removed from stomach

Doctors in Ho Chi Minh City have removed a denture of six teeth from a woman's stomach as it got loose anf fell inward Tuesday while she was eating .

They took the denture out of the 50-year-old woman, identified only by her initials T.T.T.T, using an endoscopic tube, Tuoi Tre reported.

Dr Tran Ngoc Luu Phuong from the digestion department of Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital, where the woman was admitted, said people with dentures need to be careful while eating and sleeping.

Phuong said dentures would wear out and become loosely attached after being used for sometime. It could be dangerous if they fall into the respiratory system, he said.
