Vietnam hub recalls milk with content deficiencies

Health inspectors in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday ordered the recall of five milk products that did not contain the quantity of protein announced on their labels, and suspended two producers for the same reason.

The revoked products are: chocolate-flavored Tien Tien Milk Milk in 400g tetrapacks produced by the Huong Khanh Company; chocolate-flavoured Uclady 400g tetrapacks produced by the Viet Y Food Processing Company; and three products of the Van An Company the Gold Milk Gold IQ+ in 400g tetrapacks, Gold Milk Gold Grow and the weight gaining Gold Milk in 400gram cans.

The Viet Y Company in Tan Phu District was suspended because the lipid content in its milk did not meet requirements, while several products of the VINAFOOD company in the same district failed to meet both lipid and protein standards.
