The Ministry of Health has announced its plan to send inspectors to four of the biggest beverage companies in Vietnam, including Pepsi and Coca-Cola, for a thorough check of their products.
The inspections, expected to begin next year, will also look into production lines of Wonderfarm and URC, the producers of popular tea and herbal drinks, local media reported.
Health officials will examine the whole production process, from ingredients to final products.
Earlier this year, a similar month-long inspection at Tan Hiep Phat, which makes herbal and energy drinks, found several violations at the Binh Duong-based company, health officials said.
