A woman in the Mekong Delta City of Can Tho had a four-centimeter toothpick
successfully
removed from her bladder this week.
Le Quang Dung, chief of Can Tho Central Hospital's urinology, told Thanh Nien Saturday that the 51-year-old woman was hospitalized on Wednesday with urinary difficulties.
An endoscopic surgery removed the toothpick.
The woman said the toothpick entered her bladder when she accidently laid down on a pack on toothpicks that had been left strewn about a hammock.
Dung said the case was very rare.
