After a lull of several months, the H1N1 virus has reemerged in Ho Chi Minh City, infecting three women, the city's Tropical Diseases Hospital said Saturday.
The patients have been admitted to the hospital with fever and cough symptoms, doctors from the hospital said.
One of them, 24-year-old L.T.T has been discharged from the hospital, while two others, 22-year-old N.T.H.N. and N.T.M.T., who are still under treatment, are in stable health, the doctors said.
The swine flu outbreak began in Mexico in April, 2009 and quickly spread around the world.
Since it was first detected in Vietnam in May, 2009, more than 11,000 people have been inflicted with swine flu, claiming more than 50 lives, according to the Ministry of Health.
