Sunflowers are not only beautiful to look at, they also taste sweet and delicious.

When ingested, the bright yellow flowers help lower high blood pressure and relieve pain, while their roots can act as a cough suppressant. When prepared correctly, sunflower seeds can help get rid of dysentery, pinworms and pimples.

Sunflower oil contains omega fatty acids omega 3 and omega 6, which are essential for good health, cannot be made in the body, and must be provided through food. Omega 3 fatty acids help maintain a healthy heart and tissue structure, particularly in the brain and the eye's retina. Omega 6 fatty acids help promote healthy cholesterol levels.
