Man dies of alcohol poisoning in southern Vietnam, 2 others found unconscious

A fisher was found dead Thursday in Ba Ria – Vung Tau apparently from drinking too much alcohol and his two colleagues were rushed to hospital unconscious.
Nguyen Van Lam, 53, and the others, aged 54 and 45, were found with their mouth foaming after three hours of drinking Thursday morning on a boat following a night of fishing.
Other crew members had also joined them but left soon.
Doctors found a large amount of ethanol, in the victims’ blood.
They put the surviving duo on IV fluids and respirators, and the next step could be blood filtering.
All three are from Kien Giang Province in the Mekong Delta.
The police are investigating.
