Volunteer doctors from South Korea finished operations on 190 children born with harelip and cleft palate in the south central province of Phu Yen on Wednesday.

The children have been treated since last Friday at Phu Yen General Hospital thanks to donations from Korea's Smile for Children association and the telecommunications operator SK Telecom.

For more than 15 years, the groups have provided smiles to nearly 3,000 disabled Vietnamese children. Last year, they worked in Vietnam's northern Thanh Hoa Province.

They have also invested in tecnological improvements for harelip and cleft palate treatment centers throughout the country.
