Japan has agreed to receive Vietnamese medical nurses to work in the country from 2012, according to an agreement between the two countries.

Vietnamese nurses who pass professional and some Japanese language requirements will be allowed to work in Japan from three to four years, a source from Vietnam's Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs said on October 27.

The cooperation is part of Vietnam-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (VJEPA) which ended the week of October 24-28.
