"I just want to have a normal body. Then it's totally fine if I can live for only one more day," said 20-year-old Nguyen Thi Lam from Hanoi.
She has a giant tumor which she has kept hidden to as many people as possible, until she could not bear longer and brought herself to local media agencies requesting help.
Lam told news website Dan Tri she was born normal except for a tumor on her back that has grown on to the right side of her body.
Her parents took her to the Military Central Hospital, also known as Hospital 108 and the National Hospital of Pediatrics, and doctors diagnosed her with congenital nervous system neoplasm, but they said the tumor cannot be removed and she has to live with it.

But the tumor is now as big as her own body and extends down to her thigh, forcing her to wear large clothes.
She never returned to hospital and no more specific details about the condition are available.
As it has grown, the tumor has become more painful and inconvenient.
She said she wants to get rid of the tumor in order to stop feeling ugly and to be able to help her mother, who is in her 50s.
Lam's father died long ago, and her mother works alone on the family's small rice field and takes care of her mother-in-law who is more than 90 years old, as well as a 47-year-old mentally ill brother-in-law, besides Lam.
"I don't know when my mother will have a peaceful and happy day. I love her so much and don't know what to do," she told Dan Tri.
Lam would like anyone with any information that can help cure her condition to call her cell phone: (84) 163 3352 466.
Donations can be sent to her Vietinbank account 711A46610728.
