A kindergarten rushed 185 students to hospitals Wednesday night in the biggest child food poisoning case ever of the south central province of Binh Thuan .

Pham Thi My Loan, vice chairwoman of Tuy Phong District, said the children ranged between one and five years old and were sent to two different hospitals.

Many children were discharged the next morning after receiving fluid transfusions, but some were still fatigued and had to be put under doctors' care until the evening.

Doctor Mieu Tieu Chong from Binh Thuan General Hospital, which received 20 of the children, said they all vomited, had fevers and stomachaches.

The children at Phuoc The kindergarten started to cry and vomit en masse when day classes were about to close. Many parents who came to pick up their children then helped rush them to the hospital.

Binh Thuan Health Department has taken food samples from the school for testing.

A doctor from Tuy Phong District Hospital, which received 165 children, said the prime suspect is the yoghurt the kindergarten's teachers made and have been feeding its 220 children every afternoon.
