Film fest brings Vietnamese flicks to Seoul

Five Vietnamese films will be featured in the first ever Vietnamese film festival in Seoul, South Korea on on April 16-19.
The festival is projected as a "firm launching pad" to introduce the "most outstanding movies" of Vietnam in recent years to South Korean audience, according to the organizers, including the Vietnam Embassy in the Republic of Korea, the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Korea’s largest multiplex cinema chain CJ CGV, with support from the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The event will take place at the CGV Yeouido cinemas. Five Vietnamese films to be shown include Thien menh anh hung (Blood letter), Choi voi (Adrift), Scandal, Am muu giay got nhon (How to fight in six inch heels), and Ao lua Ha Dong (The white silk dress).
Korean actor Yeo Jin-goo and Vietnamese actress Van Trang, who acted in Thien menh anh hung and Scandal, will serve as ambassadors at the festival.
