Poster of "Slavic Concerto Concert" held this Sunday evening in Ho Chi Minh City
Two concertos will be performed for the first time in Vietnam in a special concert at Ho Chi Minh City's Conservatory of Music on December 15.
Franz Krommer (1759-1831)'s Concerto for Clarinet & Orchestra in E flat Major, op.36; and Boris Lyatoshinsky (1865-1968) Slavic Concerto for piano & orchestra, op. 54 will be presented at the Saturday night concert for the first time in Vietnam.
In addition, the classical music night, titled "Slavic Concerto Concert" will feature other world masterpieces, including Allegro; Adagio; Rondo; Lento ma non troppo; and Allegro risoluto.
Conductor Tran Vuong Thach will lead the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO), along with guest performers clarinetist Michael Eidel and pianist Urs Buchmann.
