Southern province to host International Sculpture Symposium
A total of 62 sculptors, including 37 foreign ones, will join an international sculpture symposium set to run from Oct. 31 to Dec. 10 2005 in southern An Giang province.

The “An Giang Hallmark II – 2005” aimed at developing a sculpture garden park in the province, said Nguyen Quoc Thang, head of the organizing board.

After the symposium was over, a VND10 billion Sculpture Garden Park would be built featuring about 100 artworks from the two previous symposiums.

The park will be a valuable artistic venue of Chau Doc township, a destination for tourists to An Giang province, replete with historical and cultural vestiges.

The park is expected to be open for all free of charge by early 2007.

Reported by Tan Duc – Translated by Hoang Bao.
