Rain offers shirt, tie to Vietnam charity
Korean pop star Rain, who is set to perform in Vietnam next week, has offered a favorite shirt and tie to a Vietnamese charity site, with their sale proceeds to help needy children.

He wore the snazzy white cotton shirt at a live show last October in the Republic of Korea, while he bought the tie for an international tour.

The website www.blogtraitim.com, which aims to raise money for poor Vietnamese children, has fixed a reserve price of VND9.9 million (US$618) for the shirt and VND4.9 million for the tie.

The auction will be open until Mar. 6, fours days before the first of Rain’s two shows kicks off at Ho Chi Minh City’s Military Zone 7 stadium.

R&B and pop singer and hip-hop dancer Rain, also known as Bi, will personally hand over the two items to the successful bidders. The buyer of the shirt will also get a VIP ticket worth VND2.5 million for Rain’s upcoming Vietnam show.

Rain, named the world's second most influential entertainer by the US’s Time magazine last year, has become famous worldwide not only as a singer but also an actor, winning a clutch of prestigious awards.

His Vietnam tour is among 35 shows in the RAIN WORLD TOUR 06-07 scheduled to be held in 11 countries and territories. The world tour is expected to gross over $100 million.
