Vietnam to build marine park in World Heritage bay
Two foreign corporations planed to build a marine park at Ha Long Bay – a World Heritage, said a local official on Wednesday.
Head of Ha Long Bay’s Management Board, Ngo Hung said that the provincial People’s Committee had approved the project of Indochina Capital and Korean Fine to set up the maritime park at Ha Long Bay.
The sea-palace-shaped park is to be located on the Lom Bo and East Me Cung islands on a site of about 10ha.
Ha Long Bay, recognized World Heritage by UNESCO in 1994 is one of Vietnam's most popular tourist destinations.
