Five Vietnamese students competing in the 2016 International Physics Olympiad in Switzerland have won medals, including two golds.
Dinh Thi Huong Thao, a 12th grader from the northern province of Nam Dinh, and Nguyen The Quynh, an 11th grader from the central Quang Binh Province, won the gold medals.
Thao, who had also won a gold last year, also received the award for the Best Female Asian Pacific Participant this year.
In a competition that attracted 450 participants from 90 countries, her score ranked 32nd and Quynh’s, 33rd.
Three others won two silvers and a bronze.
The 47th International Physics Olympiad was held between July 10 and 18.
