Vietnamese students will create the world's largest mind map jigsaw puzzle on September 24 in Ho Chi Minh City, and if a success will receive a Guinness World Record the following day.

According to organizer, HCMC University of Economics, the university's 1,600 students will use 551,232 pieces to create a 660-square meter jigsaw puzzle, compared to 212,323 cuts of Singapore's largest puzzle in 2002 and China's 600-square meter record in 2010.

The mind map puzzle is themed Vietnam and will feature a six-petal lotus, each of which represents the country's distinguished fields including people, geography, history, culture, education and the economy.

The picture will be presented in both English and Vietnamese with slogan: "One will, one dream, one power, the world record".

The event, including a World Guinness Record Ceremony, will take place at Phu Tho Sports Complex, 221 Ly Thuong Kiet, District 11.
